    spacious room

Just a top selection for a weekend jaunt in Minamioguni with good price-value balance. The Japanese-Western room was surprisingly spacious and super clean. Make sure to book a private onsen for a relaxing experience.

    facility upkeep

The building exhibits some signs of age, with minor damages like holes in the paper screens, a bit of creakiness, and a tired aesthetic that could use a refresh overall. The shared facilities showed a need for minor repairs, such as the extractor fan in the indoor bath.

Reasons to love it, and reasons not to

Tranquil ambiance, polite staff! Delicious, locally sourced Kaiseki meals kept us intrigued with variety each night.

Remote location may pose a challenge for those seeking quick access. Unique breakfast options could be daunting for Western tastes!

    delicious meals
    towel inconvenience
    crowded facilities
    reservation requirement

Cute staff, always ready to help with anything we needed. Meals were a highlight, particularly the udon soups, with an excellent variety . The private onsen option added a romantic touch, though reservations are essential. The towel situation was inconvenient as guests are required to bring their own, and the shared facilities can feel a bit crowded at times.
